Come join us for our December pack meeting
December Pack Meeting: A Scout is Kind
Agenda***
Opening Ceremony
Gather all Cub Scouts and their families.
Start with the Pledge of Allegiance.
Recite the Scout Oath and Scout Law. Focus on the line: “A Scout is kind.”
Connection to Theme
Brief discussion on kindness in the context of Scouting. Encourage Scouts to share examples of kindness they've shown or received.
Activity Stations
Kindness Cards
Scouts create handmade cards with kind messages to distribute to residents at a local nursing home. Provide materials like cardstock, markers, and stickers.
Compliment Circle
Scouts sit in a circle and take turns giving genuine compliments to the person next to them. This will promote positive interactions and build camaraderie.
Service Projects Planning
Discuss future service project ideas that promote kindness in the community. Brainstorm activities that Scouts can participate in as a den or pack.
Group Activity
Kindness Relay Race
Set up a relay race where teams must complete tasks that promote kindness, such as carrying items to "deliver" them to someone in need or completing a short checklist of kind actions.
Snack Time
Provide light snacks and drinks. Use this time for Scouts to socialize and reflect on the theme of kindness.
Closing Ceremony
Gather everyone together.
Thank the Scouts and families for their participation and highlight planned upcoming events.
Close with the Scout Motto: "Do Your Best."
Reminder for Families
Encourage families to continue the kindness theme at home throughout the month, particularly during the holiday season. Suggest small acts of kindness they can practice together.
We look forward to a meaningful and engaging meeting focused on kindness!
