Theme: A Scout is Courteous

Agenda***

1. Opening Flag Ceremony

   • Start the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance and Scout Oath.

2. Welcome and Introductions

   • Brief welcome to all scouts and their families.

   • Introduction of new members and leaders.

3. Cub Scout Courteousness Activity

   • Discuss what it means to be courteous as a scout.

   • Split into small groups for role-playing scenarios that demonstrate courteous behavior, such as greeting someone, helping a fellow scout, and showing appreciation.

4. Courteous Scout Snack Time

   • Enjoy light snacks. Encourage scouts to practice courteous behavior by saying "please" and "thank you" during the snack time.

5. Group Discussion

   • Open floor for scouts to share their experiences of being courteous at home, school, or in the community.

   • Highlight the importance of everyday acts of kindness.

6. Craft Activity: Thank You Cards

   • Provide materials for scouts to create thank-you cards that can be sent to community members who demonstrate courteous acts.

7. Recognition of Courteous Scouts

   • Acknowledge and award patches or certificates to scouts who have exemplified courteous behavior in the past month.

8. Closing

   • Closing remarks and reminders about upcoming events.

   • Scout Spirit: Closing Circle to reflect on the evening and encourage sharing one courteous act they plan to perform in the coming week.
